In the opening days of the One Year War, the Principality of Zeon forces seized the space colony Island Iffish at Side 2. Their objective: drop the colony directly onto the Federation's Jaburo headquarters in South America.

• Post-Impact Environmental Deaths: 2.1 billion
• Geographical Result: Sydney, Australia, was completely destroyed.
